Gorkys have donated one of their tracks "Fresher Than The Sweetness In Water" for a charity album to make money for and raise awareness for the Freshwater East Coastcare Project which cleans up the beeches on the Pembrokeshire coast. Gorky will be playing at Clwb Ifor Bach on Saturday 25th May as part of a Unison gig with support from Squeezebox, Talkshow, JT Mouse, Aled Clifford & Georgia and runs from 8pm to 12am.(7/5/02)

Festival fever grows as Gorky's will be playing at the Newton May Festival, Powys on Friday 15th May. Channel 4 are repeating their Gorky's documentary on Thursday 27th at 1.50am featuring footage from the Bristol and London legs of the Mynci 2000 the sequel tour. (18/9/01)
The new GZM album How I Long To Feel That Summer In Your Heart will now be released on September 24th. To promote this they will being doing a special gig on 21st Sept at London Shaw Theatre where they will play the album in order and will be joined on stage with string and brass players and some guests artists which featured in the recording of the album.
They have also announced a full tour in October

Gorky`s will also be on NME TV on Bravo which you can get on Satellite, Cable and Digital. It`s also on Friday 17th November at 11:30 pm with repeats on 18th at 12:40am and 19th at 10:30pm.
Gorky's will be on Sesiwn Hwyr on S4C and S4C digital on Thursday 16th November at 8:30pm (repeated on Tue 28th November at 11:05pm on S4C digital). They will be performing 4 songs and Topper are on the show as well.

be taking over most of the work with Rhods helping out as well as Phil Collings

on singles and albums and the lyrics and tab of all the tracks. This will be
an ongoing thing and if you can fill out any of the gaps your help will be appreciated
a lot. In particular if you have any live reviews or photos then please send
them to me so we can make this the biggest source of live stuff.

We found out that How I Long For The Summer In Your Heart and Honeymoon With You will be on their new album which will be released next year. The drummer that helped out at the One Live gig at Clwb Ifor Bach on 24th October was Peter Richardson from Topper.

Gorky's are playing at the Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff on 24th October as part of Radio 1's Sound City along with Melys.
According to the interview on the Official GZM website (www.gorkys.com) Euros Rowlands will be leaving Gorky's, however Rhodri Puw (aka Kappa man!) is now a member of Gorky's after passing his "audition"!!

For the Carling Weekend the Mynci 2000 line-up was used with a welcome return for Ashley Cooke and as always the infamous Gorwel Owen on keyboards

Spanish Dance Troupe was released on 20th September and reached 47 in the singles charts (number 5 in the indie chart) in the first week. It also featured in the CD:UK viewers choice phone poll and came second with 27% of the vote. The Spanish Dance Troupe album was released on Mon 4th October on CD, Tape and Vinyl
